Seeking to align his professional pursuits with his personal values, Benjamin transitioned to the nonprofit sector, leading the Community Cycling Center as Director of Finance and Interim Executive Director. Benjamin served as Interim Executive Director and Director of Finance and Administration at the Community Cycling Center, overseeing a $2.4M annual budget and implementing streamlined financial systems for 15 revenue streams. He spearheaded strategic initiatives to maximize the nonprofit’s impact, serving marginalized youth, houseless individuals, and communities of color. Benjamin also developed and secured major funding proposals, while managing a team of 22 employees under a collaborative and a democratic leadership model.
